The story

'Behind the Stack' is part of Marshall's YouTube series. Here, artists give a break down of their live setup.

For this project, I set the narrative, researched Mr. Van De Poel to my heart's content and conducted the interview. I've been honing my interview techniques for a long time, and they really came to fruition here. When I get a rare opportunity to spend time with the artist before the camera starts rolling, I try to take full advantage of it. Of course, a rig run down invites other brand products into the conversation, but the focal point had to be about Marshall. I knew Pablo was a bit of a mad scientist in the studio and a huge fan of vintage Marshall, so I wanted to draw on this as much as possible. In this film, Pablo welcomes us into the centre of his universe and gives us a joyful blend of knowledge and live performance.
